Tax Manager (Customs)

Job description

Giving advice about all aspects of customs, excise and related consumption taxes, and supporting companies in managing their customs and excise compliance. That’s what we do. Analysing records, solving problems and pointing out opportunities, being involved in contacts with local tax authorities. Belgian or international taxation regimes, corporate tax, personal tax, indirect tax: we boast specialist knowledge in all fields and can offer our clients a total solution package based on a business necessity and commercial drivers.

As a Manager, you will be integrated into an Indirect Tax team of 50 tax specialists. You will be dealing with highly sophisticated clients (multinational corporations and major Belgian-headquartered companies) with specific needs. You will design tailor-made international trade solutions (essentially in relation to customs, excise and environmental taxes), often with the involvement of other specialists.

Your profile

  • You have a university degree in economics or law, and preferably an additional postgraduate degree in taxation.
  • You have three to five years experience in customs and international trade.
  • You are fluent in Dutch, French and English.
  • You are well-organised and able to meet (tight) deadlines.
  • You are a team player and have developed a broad business-mindedness.
  • We expect you to contribute actively to Client Relationship Management and to continually strive to deepen your own technical know-how.
